Atalanta general manager Umberto Marino admits facing Liverpool will be very special this week.

The two clubs will meet on Thursday in the first-leg of their Europa League quarterfinal.

Marino said: "Something very precious, we know how much we worked and suffered to reach this goal of being able to play in Liverpool.

"Liverpool are a strong, technical team, but they will have the spirit of yesterday's Cagliari. We will have to be strongly Atalanta, with the desire to demonstrate in a provincial championship.
