Jamie Vardy has responded to talk of returning to England after leaving Leicester City last summer.

Vardy departed the Foxes on a free transfer after spearheading a largely successful 13 years at the King Power Stadium.

Including an eye-watering 200 goals in 500 appearances for the club, the 39-year-old also delivered an unforgettable Premier League title, FA Cup triumph and Champions League football to Leicester

The veteran striker has since been playing his football in the Serie A with Cremonese, where he's scored five goals and supplied two assists in 26 appearances.

But many people are wondering whether a return to England is on the cards once his contract expires in June, and he has now given his response in an interview with The Telegraph

Speaking before his documentary 'Untold UK' launches on Netflix (May 12), Vardy said:  “I’ve always said when the legs tell me it’s enough then that will be the day.

"Fortunately for these boys *slaps both his legs*, they’re still telling me they’re fine at the minute. Do I see life after football? Management, no. I’ve never thought that far down the line. I’m very much a ‘get today out the way, go to sleep and see what tomorrow brings’ person. I’ve always been like that, which is annoying to some people I know.”

Vardy didn't directly confirm whether he would return to England for one last hurrah, but it would seem fitting that his illustrious career ends in the EFL.
