The 18-year-old limped off the field after scoring a penalty in the clash with Celta Vigo as fans feared the worst the Spanish star who reports suggest may not return for this summer’s World Cup.
Yamal did not celebrate finding the net as he was in immediate pain which is said to be caused by a serious hamstring injury which will leave him out for several weeks.
The club confirmed the injury on Thursday, stating that Yamal "will follow a conservative treatment plan" as he rests and recovers ahead of this summer’s World Cup.
Now, the teenagers has taken to social media to speak to fans who flooded the winger with messages of support over the past 24 hours.
“This injury leaves me off the pitch at the moment I wanted to be there the most, and it hurts more than I can explain. It hurts not being able to fight alongside my teammates, not being able to help when the team needs me. But I believe in them and I know they’re going to give their all in every match”.
“I’ll be there, even if it’s from the outside, supporting, cheering and pushing like one more. This isn’t the end, it’s just a pause. I’ll come back stronger, with more desire than ever, and next season will be better.

Barcelona moved nine points clear at the top of the La Liga table thanks to their latest win this week. However, the side will now be without Yamal as well as Raphina for the final few games of the season as they aim to claim the title once more.
Spain's final squad for the 2026 World Cup will be named at the end of May and fans will hope and pray that Yamal is ready to feature for the side after weeks of medical treatment.
