In dire need of a win following their 1-1 draw, it took just six minutes for Ronaldo to score the opener against Uzbekistan.

Joao Cancelo swung in a lovely ball, finding Ronaldo at the near post who then tucked it away with an instinctive first-time finish.

Ronaldo is now the first player in history to score at six World Cups.
