The Three Lions face Mexico 2,200 metres above sea level at the Estadio Azteca in their Round of 16 clash that is poised to be their toughest test yet under Tuchel.
Fans have been waiting on updates for Reece James, Jarell Quansah and Declan Rice ahead of the clash, with many worried about how will start at right back which has been flooded with injuries since the tournament began.
Rice was struggling against DR Congo and was subbed off late on whilst Reece James (hamstring) and Jarell Quansah (ankle) have both missed the last few games.
Speaking ahead of the clash, Tuchel revealed that although James is out, Quansah will return.
"You saw that Jarell trained, Jarell trained fully, is fully available.
“Reece can maybe make it onto the bench, he needs a last assessment from the doctors and medical opinion if this makes sense," the German coach explained.
Tuchel offered no update on Rice however, a player who missed one Premier League game in the 2025-26 season through a knee injury in December.
With no injury update, Rice looks to be okay heading into the game where he is unlikely to start at right back like reports suggested, especially with Djed Spence and Quansah available.
