Rakitic: Modric can play another three years for AC Milan

Modric, 40, is now discussing a new 12-month deal with the Rossonero.

Rakitic, speaking to La Repubblica, said of his former Croatia teammate: "I hope he continues for another 2-3 seasons.

"At Milan, everything is there: Luka is happy, the club is happy." 

Rakitic also said of Como midfielder Martin Baturina: "We have Baturina, who is rising in quality as an attacking midfielder at Como.

"He needed a few months to adapt, in Zagreb he was the king, it's a comfort zone thing."
