De Laurentiis admits he's been impressed by Italiano's Bologna this season, which now sit in sixth place after last night's shock defeat to Cremonese.
ADL, asked if Napoli's win against Roma has silenced their doubters, said at the Gran Gala del Calcio: "Everyone asks irrelevant questions.
"If a team has a lot of injuries, it's clear that there can be a period of despair that can contaminate the dressing room, and some matches can be handled poorly.
"And then Bologna, a great team with a great coach, is downplayed. I remember when they beat us during their time at Spezia: I went to congratulate him.
"He had defeated a strong team like ours, which means he's capable. I have a lot of respect for him; he's on a good run."
