While Paolo Vanoli is managing to move Fiorentina ever closer to safety, a coaching change at the end of the season is still likely. Vanoli is contracted to the end of June.
TMW says Paratici has put in a call to former Chelsea manager Maresca about a move to Serie A. While Maresca was lukewarm, Paratici urged his fellow Italian - and former Fiorentina midfielder - to at least consider a return to Florence.
Maresca didn't rule anything out, but he will keep Fiorentina waiting as the prospect of succeeding Pep Guardiola as Manchester City manager remains open.
Maresca is the favoured option for City should Guardiola choose to depart, having had two different coaching stints inside the club.
