The club announced: "US Cremonese announces that it has relieved Mr. Davide Nicola of his duties as coach of the first team.
"The Cremonese club would like to thank the coach and his staff for the professionalism, commitment, and dedication they have shown in their daily work since their arrival in Cremona."
Cremonese are now in advanced talks with former AC Milan coach Marco Giampaolo as Nicola's replacement.
