Tuchel must submit his 55-man long list ahead of his final decision later this month as all eyes turn to who will make the cut before the side jet off to North America this summer.

Fans will watch Tuchel's World Cup squad in action for the first time on June 6th as England face New Zealand in a friendly before they face Costa Rica 4 days later in what are the final games before the competition begins.

Arguably the most interesting part of the England side is who will deputise alongside Harry Kane in attack. Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Dominic Solanke and Danny Welbeck are reported to be unlikely to make it on to Tuchel’s list which opens the door for one striker.

The Mirror state that former Brentford striker Ivan Toney could be set to get a call from Tuchel, who will have seen him score 40 goals in 46 games in for Al-Ahli in the Saudi Pro League.

The Three Lions face Croatia, Ghana and Panama in Group L in what is a relatively easy group for Tuchel to navigate with so many world-class players at his disposal.

Toney has scored over 30 goals in the Saudi Pro League, which is just shy of half of Al-Ahli league goals this season as he leads the goalscoring charts.

His introduction would be a shock to the England side, but there is no doubt he could make a real impact at the tournament this year as he rotates with Kane.
