Now, per The Athletic, Tottenham have agreed a club record deal to sign Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali.
Tottenham will pay an initial £92.5m for the Italy international with an additional £7.5m in proposed add-ons based on multiple Champions League qualifications.
Tonali has been a key player for Newcastle since joining from AC Milan, making 53 appearances across all competitions last season, scoring three goals.
A 12th placed Premier League finish for Eddie Howe’s side means they will be forced to sell players in order to adhere to PSR.
