Oliver Boast has confirmed his Leeds United departure this week as he prepares to join Tottenham.

Boast, one of Leeds’ prized academy assets was targeted by Tottenham’s recruitment team last month as the North London side look towards the future. He chose to continue his development with Spurs which meant Leeds could either negotiate a fee with Tottenham or allow a tribunal to decide compensation.

Boast turned 16 a few months ago and is seen as a No.9 who can lead the side at his current age range. Taking to social media, he thanked Leeds for all their support which in turn confirmed his move to Tottenham who will add him to their flourishing academy.

"After 8 years at Leeds United, it’s now time for me to move on and start a new chapter.

"I’ve been lucky enough to share some amazing moments with great teammates and the memories we shared will stay with me forever.

"A big thank you to everyone at Leeds who has helped me over the years - I wish the club all the best for the future!"

The teenager has risen rapidly through the youth ranks with the Whites, and scored nine goals in 18 league games. He made his debut for the club’s under-18s last August, at 15 years old, which is an impressive feat for any player. Manager Thomas Frank will be delighted to welcome him to the club who certainly have one of the best academies in the Premier League that is constantly growing.
