Amad Diallo has shared what Manchester United's targets are for next season as they look to bounce back from last season.

United ended the 2024/25 Premier League campaign in 15th, which is their lowest ever finish in the league in what was a season to forget for the club who will be aiming for a much better showing next season, which starts in a month’s time.

The 23-year-old believes United should be aiming to finish at least fifth in what would keep the side away from the title race but give them a European boost the season afterwards.

“A good season will be top five. I hope we can achieve the top five at the end of the season because I think we would deserve it. I think the fans have to be patient with us.

“There’s a new manager, with new players and new tactics, so we know last season wasn’t really good for the team. But I think this season we will win a lot with him and I hope we are going to achieve a lot of good things by the end of the season.”

New signing Matheus Cunha made his United debut in a pre-season friendly against Leeds United which ended 0-0 on Saturday. Meanwhile Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo is set to sign for the club this week after much speculation as manager Ruben Amorim continues to improve his side that will listen to Amad’s words of confidence and will hopefully prove him right in the new campaign.
