Chelsea face Brighton on Tuesday night but will be without 6 key players as manager Liam Rosenior rotates his side.

After a 1-0 home defeat against Manchester United on Saturday night, the pressure is piling on Rosenior whose Chelsea are the only side to lose each of their last four Premier League fixtures.

Across 22 previous clashes in all competitions, Chelsea have emerged victorious on 11 occasions against Brighton who are now just 1 point behind them in the Premier League table.

This season's reverse fixture saw Brighton claim a 3-1 win at Stamford Bridge, a result that Rosenior won’t want to repeat if he wants to maintain support from the forgiving Chelsea board.

Ahead of the game, the Blues will be without 6 players in Estevao (Thigh Injury), Levi Colwill (Knee Injury), Jamie Bynoe-Gittens (Thigh Injury), Filip Jorgensen (Groin/Hip/Pelvic Injury), Reece James (Thigh Injury) and Joao Pedro (Thigh).

Rosenior stated that Chelsea will give Joao Pedro a late fitness test tonight to assess if the striker can face Brighton, but reports suggest it is unlikely that he feature for the side as they don’t want to risk further injury.

Chelsea’s last away game ended in a 3-0 loss to Everton and Brighton will smell blood heading into this week’s clash as Rosenior aims to help his side back with a rare performance to be proud of.
