Manchester City welcome Brentford to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening as they aim to close the gap on league leaders Arsenal.

City saw their three-game winning streak come to an end on Monday night as they drew 3-3 with Everton, dropping crucial points in the title race.

Arsenal now lead by 5 points at the top of the table, looking down on City whose title hopes are all but over in the final few games of the campaign.

Despite the recent draw, City re unbeaten in their last 15 Premier League fixtures at the Etihad (W12-D3-L0), having won four of the past five under manager Pep Guardiola who will expect a much better performance from his side.

The Citizens claimed a slender 1-0 victory over the Bees in the reverse fixture six months ago and this time around they are without Rodri (groin), Ruben Dias (ankle), Josko Gvardiol (tibial fracture) as Guardiola aims to rotate his side once more.

City have been victorious in six of their nine Premier League meetings with Brentford and a win would reduce the gap at the top to just 3 points before Arsenal face West Ham on Sunday afternoon.

Brentford suffered defeat in nine of their 17 Premier League away games in total this season and City must capitalise this weekend if they are to maintain their title charge.
