Pressure has been slowly building on Slot after a difficult second season in charge at Anfield which will see his side go trophyless this season.
The Dutchman revealed he is backed by the board ahead of next season over the past few weeks, despite call for him to step down after 11 losses in the Premier League and being knocked out of every competition.
Liverpool are still looking to mathematically secure a place in next season's Champions League, a far cry from their title chasing side last campaign.
However, speaking to the Daily Mail, Szoboszlai was asked if Slot was the right man for the job next season and gave a very telling answer as he backed the 47 year old.
"That's not a question at all," Szoboszlai told the Daily Mail. "He's our manager and we are in his second season. In his first season, don't forget, we won the Premier League. So no one lost faith in him from our side.
"Rumours come and go but he proved that he’s able to win the Premier League and we proved it as a team, as a staff, as a club that we are able to win the Premier League. So now we just have to keep on working and give it a try next year as well."
As Slot continues to struggle, his squad is clearly behind him as Liverpool have an opportunity to book their place in next season’s Champions League as early as this weekend, with victory over Chelsea clinching top five if Bournemouth fail to defeat Fulham.
