While the Reds were held at home by Burnley to a draw last Saturday, they were outstanding for the midweek Champions League win at Marseille.
Ahead of Saturday's trip to Bournemouth, Slot said: "I'm very confident. We are in a very good place. But sometimes in football you can pick up injuries from nowhere.
"I didn't expect not to have (Giovanni) Leoni, (Alexander) Isak and (Conor) Bradley not available for such a long time.
"We have shown if we have players fit we are very competitive against any time. There is a lot of confidence from me looking to the future."
On what he expects from the Cherries at Dean Court, Slot says his counterpart Andoni Iraola has Bournemouth playing in a similar way to Liverpool.
He continued: "Not too different in terms of playing style. They might miss a few players now through injuries and (Antoine) Semenyo went to City. We didn't have (Ryan) Gravenberch first game of season but not too different in how we will line-up and way we both want to play.
"Bournemouth one of most intense teams in the league. Near top of running stats. You know you have to be intense if you go there yourself. We're the only team in the Champions League who has only two days rest this week, not the first time this season. But we've shown we are able to do so.
"Going there last season was an important game on way to winning the league."
Individuals improving
Meanwhile, Slot also commented on the performances of several individuals.
On a fully fit Jeremie Frimpong, the Dutchman said: "He is quite an intense player in that when he runs he's sprinting. We have to take good care of him to keep him available.
"He has had a big impact in the games he's played. That's why we were disappointed he was unavailable so long. He showed the importance of being able to take players on in Marseille."
Slot also said of Joe Gomez: "He played a very good game at centre-back versus Marseille but was very good at right-back versus Inter.
"He's one of the few players who doesn't have to play a lot of games but can still play at a very high level. He played good off the ball but good playing between lnes. Let's see how he does today (in training)."
The manager expressed happiness with the form of Milos Kerkez, adding: "Milos and a lot of signings we have made you can see the progression they are making in terms of adjustment to team and also power, not a lot of times Milos has played twice a week but he's getting stronger and stronger.
"He did really well in Marseille. He is improving."
Dominik Szoboszlai struck at Marseille and Slot says the Hungary captain is now a leader inside the Reds dressing room.
"If you want to be a leader it always starts by leading by example. He's always done that, always the one without hte ball who is incredible, way he presses the intensity.
"He improved this season on the ball compared to last season when I already liked him. He plays with even more confidence and now even more involved in chances and goals. He's having a good season."
Late signings could happen
With the January market entering it's final week, Slot wasn't ruling out any late additions.
He said, "I expect there to be no movement. But if there's an opportunity in the market and we think we can strengthen the squad this club will always try to do so. But at this moment in time, no."
Meanwhile, Slot also reasoned that the team is now performing in a more entertaining fashion, with their summer arrivals now beginning to gel.
He continued: "Burnley first half and Arsenal were good performances from us. We have had many good performances which don't always come to light if you lose too many games as it looks not a lot we do is positive. We've had quite a lot of good individual performances.
"We've had to keep adapting so many times this season, we have to try to find a new way of getting the best out of the team and sometimes that works better than others.
"We are already in a good place but this team will be in a good place the day after tomorrow and after that..."
Before concluding, Slot also delivered an update on Ibrahima Konate, who missed the Marseille win after the passing of his father.
"I've spoken to him a few times and these are private matters and they should stay that way," said Slot. "It's very obvious when something like that happens the player needs time to be there for his family and for himself."
