The wing-back has seen a 12-month option trigger to keep him at Fulham to 2027.
Silva said on Friday:“He is a player that I really love. Not just because he did grow in our football club, as a boy, a man, his quality as a football player, always with the open mind to learn and to do better.
“We can use him in many different ways – very versatile. Technical point of view, he’s a very good player, and I'm very pleased with the season so far from him.
“And because of that, I really hope that we, as a football club, can extend more years in his contract, because I think it’s a perfect match between us and him, and I hope that we can have good news the next few months about himself.
“But I'm pleased with him, and let's hope he can have a good game again, because he's an important player for us.”
