After a painful 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth followed by a dominant Manchester City win against Chelsea, the pressure is being piled on to an Arsenal side who have just Premier League6 games remaining.
Guardiola and Arteta went head-to-head in last month’s Carabao Cup final, with City beating the Gunners 2-0 to win the first trophy of the season.
City’s win cut Arsenal lead to just 6 points and as the two sides prepare to face each other this weekend, Seaman has spoken to talkSPORT about how the North London side could cope.
“I don’t think they will be talking about the nerves but they were certainly nervous on Saturday, I was there and you could see that.
"All credit to Bournemouth because they played really well but when you are a team going for the league, you need to be dominating these sorts of games.
"I think the nerves did take over a little bit, you can feel the tension in the crowd when things go wrong but it’s vitally important that those fans stay behind the team.
"Thousands are always behind us but the players are aware when it gets a little bit spicy.
"We’re lucky we have a game midweek and people will think Man City have a free week, they’re going to be rested but we have a chance to get that game against Bournemouth result out of our system by getting a good result against Sporting."
City will be confident heading into the weekend game, especially with Arsenal not having a rest before the clash kicks off. The game could decide the title as whoever wins will have a major advantage in the final 5 games of the campaign.
