Arsenal stumbled in the Premier League title race as they lost to Bournemouth on Saturday, leading to boos and jeers at full time from their home fans.
Meanwhile, title rivals City beat Chelsea 3-0 in what was an easy win for Pep Guardiola who is hot on the heels of The Gunners heading into the final stretch of the campaign.
Alarm bells will be ringing for Arsenal but Neville suggests that they have what it takes to go all the way even if they don’t have the title experience needed to end their two decade drought.
“I have thought for a number of years with this Arsenal team that they’ve got to go and win a game that shakes the world. They’ve got to go to City next week and win.
“The problem they’ve got is they haven’t got anybody of experience in the club of winning a title. Gabriel Jesus maybe, but I don’t think he’s the type of player that’s going to translate that to a dressing room.
“Mikel Arteta is always looking to try and find a way of how to gain an advantage and he’s got to try and find something this week.
“I do feel now is the time for Arsenal.
“Arsenal will crawl over the line. I don’t think they’ll get over the line easily, they might even lose next week, but I do think they’ve probably got a little bit of a cushion.”
Arsenal endured a miserable weekend in the Premier League but if they manage to overcome City this weekend, they could be back on track to their best with just 5 games remaining after the game is over.
