United are now level on points with rivals Manchester City after a much-needed win against Chelsea last time out. However, the Red Devils head to the Gtech winless in their last seven away games in the top flight in what looks to be another nervy game for Amorim.
What does Mbeumo bring to the team?
Questions first focused on summer signing Bryan Mbeumo who of course will face his old side in what should be a warm welcome from the home crowd.
"It’s really important everything he brings. He is always there to help us, he runs a lot, he presses a lot. He is a different threat to last season. He takes set pieces. So I am really happy with him.
"That is also the good thing, to have time to get to know the player. It was important to bring players from our league so you can understand what they bring. But in the end, you never know, so we were lucky with Bryan.
"You can see that every player you want to buy in the Premier League is expensive so if you look to our moments last year, you want to take the less risky move and it’s really important to have quality players."
Amorim wants to win for Amad
Next, Amorim opened up on Amad Diallo missing the Brentford game for a family bereavement and messages on social media which have gotten to him in recent weeks.
"I always tell my players: shut down social media.
"Nowadays it is a price you have to pay but the important thing is that the club and the friends, real life for Amad, we are here for him.
"It is a tough moment for him and in this moment the next game is not important. We can win this game without Amad and we want to win it for him."
Chelsea win should be a boost
Using the momentum from the Chelsea result is important, and Amorim says his side must use the last win as a boost against the Bees.
"I don't say playing well, because I think we have done that, but it's normal the fans don't know what is going to happen the next game. To be honest, I have an idea, but I don't know how it's going to be and I'm the manager of the team.
"The best way of dealing with that is approaching every game like it's the last one. I understand the feeling of the fans, so let's start changing that feeling to present ourselves with the urgency of what we need to do on the pitch."
United need more urgency
Finally, the Portuguese tactician spoke more on wanting his side to build momentum, to be more focused and have a sense of urgency that United have been lacking.
"It's really important. We talk about that in the end of the game. We need the sense of urgency that we need to win, no matter what. It's going to be really difficult. Every time we start to prepare for the next game and watch the opponent, we think it's going to be really tough.
"I have that feeling. But for me, we cannot control the game. The most important thing is to start the game like we did against Chelsea and Burnley. These kind of games, we need to be really focused and have the feeling of needing to win every match."
