Wolves boss Rob Edwards has spoken to the media as his side prepare to face Brentford.

Survival will be an extremely difficult task for Wolves as they currently sit bottom of the Premier League, 12 points adrift of safety as those above them such as West Ham United and Nottingham Forest continue to pick up points.

A win against Brentford this weekend would increase their chances of staying up but with less than 10 games to go, they would need to continue their fine form until the end of the campaign.

Can Wolves survive?

Asked first if Wolves can stay up, Edwards says his side have belief and are taking one game at a time.

"Our aim is and always has been to try and achieve as many points as possible and go into every game and try and win.

"We want to take momentum into next season, continue to fight and try and take as many points as we can.

"Just one (win) at a time. I know we've not had an away win, but we're away from home next. So it'd be lovely to do that, to achieve that, but it's just the next game. That's as far as we can go."

Edwards looks towards next season

According to Opta, Wolves have a 99.9% chance of relegation to the Championship, which will end their eight-year stay in the top flight.

Relegation seems almost certain, but Wolves are not giving up as they continue to pick up points against the likes of Liverpool who were stunned last week in a 2-1 defeat.

Edwards was next asked on carrying on momentum into next season where he believes his side must take their recent up tick in form.

"I think there will be change in the playing squad. As a football club we need to try to remember how to win games, and to make the place lighter and brighter.

"We have to try and lift the cloud and try to find the winning formula again. There's a lot we can learn, we don't want to take negativity anywhere we're going. We want to build on a lot of good work ahead of the end of the season."
