Raya is happy to compete with Kepa for No1 status in manager Mikel Arteta's XI.
He said, "What did Arteta tell me about the goalkeeper's role? Nothing. A new teammate simply arrived to add another goalkeeper to the mix. The manager hasn't said anything, so we'll see what happens."
Asked if Kepa's presence brings new pressure, Raya said, "No, I think it's simply a healthy relationship. We're friends. We were together in the national team and now we're here, so we have this healthy relationship and, let's say, a 'healthy partnership' between the posts.
"We know how tough it is to be a goalkeeper. There's only one goalkeeper playing and we'll see what happens. This is the coach's job and he'll decide."
