After being sacked by Tottenham following the Europa League final victory, Postecoglou took over Nottingham Forest for just eight matches before being let go once again.
The Greek-Australian has been without a job since but now returns to the game as a Technical Observer for UEFA who confirmed his appointment on Thursday.
"Having established his coaching reputation in Australia, Greece-born Ange Postecoglou took his attacking style of play to Europe, winning a domestic double and then a domestic treble in two seasons at Celtic, before steering Tottenham to UEFA Europa League glory in 2024/25."
In this role, Postecoglou will deliver detailed reports from UEFA's Champions League matches based on the latest developments in coaching, tactical and playing styles.
As reported by Standard Sport, the former Tottenham boss Postecoglou was this week sent to Italy to assess Inter Milan's home game against Arsenal in which the Gunners won 3-1.
His technical analysis of Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus' first-half brace was published on UEFA's official website.
"Jesus' alertness in the box gave Arsenal a cutting edge to complement their ability to create opportunities from various avenues.
"Both goals were instinctive. The first was from a mis-hit shot that he was able to capitalise on and the second from a rebound off the crossbar.
"Both are a demonstration of a goalscorer's instincts as, while others are watching, he is anticipating an opportunity to score."
Postecoglou should provide his expertise once more next week as the Champions League returns, his next game is unknown.
