Arteta’s side had the chance to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League as Man United travelled to the Emirates.
Arsenal opened the scoring through a Lisandro Martinez own goal but ended up going 2-1 down thanks to goals from Bryan Mbeumo and Patrick Dorgu.
The league leaders scored their customary corner goal to make it 2-2 before Matheus Cunha scored with a lovely strike to secure all three points for the visitors.
Speaking on Sky Sports after the game, Viera was left frustrated with Arsenal’s lack of creativity.
"The feeling is that there’s no risk, there are too many passes going backwards, not forward. I want Arsenal to be more brave, take a little bit more risk,” he said.
"It feels tense. There's not enough risk. I want Arsenal to be braver."
