West Ham boss Nuno was full of praise for Callum Wilson after his match-winning goal against Everton.

Wilson struck in injury-time to give West Ham a 2-1 win and keep them two points above the dropzone.

Nuno said afterwards: "I think one of the positive things that we achieve, especially here at home at London Stadium with our fans pushing and helping us, is that we don't give up, the boys don't give up.

"We could see it (Everton’s equaliser) was a big, huge blow for us, but the next movement was ‘OK, let's react, let's try and go’ and Jarrod showed us the way, put the ball in the right place at the right moment (and Callum scored).

"All the players are important, Jarrod with some assists and Callum, what can you say about him?

"The huge moment that Callum gave us today was huge, fantastic! We knew Everton is a very good team.

"They are very organised, they have composure, they are mature, experienced players.

"We knew it was going to be tight, it was difficult to find gaps, it was difficult to break them, but at the same time we were in a good place.

"We were organised, the pressing was good, the gaps that we tried to close down.

"Of course, there's a moment that they start putting crosses in our box, and we know how dangerous they are through crosses, second phase, third phase, to keep the ball there. We didn't allow this to go, but overall I think we defended well."
