Jackson spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Bayern Munich after falling out of Enzo Maresca’s plans at the start of the campaign.
The deal included an €18.5M loan fee, but despite showing flashes of promise in Bavaria, Bayern opted against activating a purchase clause of around £70M and he returned to London before heading off to join up with Senegal at the FIFA World Cup.
Following his 2023 move from Villarreal, Jackson netted 30 across two seasons at Stamford Bridge but failed to convince Maurico Pochettino or Maresca over his consistency.
Alonso has offered all Chelsea players a clean slate to remain in his, and as per reports from Football Insider, Jackson is ready to show the new boss his level in preseason.
Several Premier League and European clubs are monitoring his position at Chelsea, but both Jackson and Alonso want delay a decision on his future until they have worked together for at least a few weeks next month.
If Jackson does opt to push for an exit, Bayern are unlikely to revive their interest in the former Villarreal striker, and Chelsea will need to lower their asking price to around £50m for the 25-year-old forward.
