Liverpool won 4-0 at the club's academy ground, with Wright being handed a start by new U21 coach Rob Page, the former Wales manager.
Wright opened the scoring, taking down a cross from Trent Kone-Doherty before finishing impressively.
Calvin Ramsay then added a second, before two more goals came after halftime from a fully fit Kaide Gordon and Afolami Onanuga.
