It's been a year since the Freidkins bought Everton from Farhad Moshiri.

Moyes said, "We have to thank them for coming in and saving the club, really, in many ways, and for being the ones who invested the money there.

"I hope they weren't disappointed by the football club. I hope they weren't disappointed by the football club. I hope they were as enthusiastic about the project, the club, the support.

"Of course, the new stadium, because we need them to really help us, all of us at Everton, get back to where we want to be and how we want to move forward.

"But I have to say I was deeply impressed by the way they ran their business. I didn't expect them to come and say, 'Here's a lot of money, here you go, do what you want with it.' Because they're a company and they want everything done properly.

"At the moment  they are conducting their business quietly but professionally."
