Silva opted against a contract extension at Craven Cottage back in June, as he moved on from the Premier League after a five-season spell in West London, to replace Jose Mourinho in Lisbon.
Mourinho's move triggered a domino effect between the three clubs, as he headed back to Real Madrid, Silva landed at the Estadio da Luz, and former interim Los Blancos boss Alvaro Arbeloa replaced Silva at Fulham.
With Silva now settled back in his native Portugal, he's planning for the 2026/26 season, after already securing a loan deal for Atletico Madrid defender Clement Lenglet and spending €50M elsewhere in his squad.
Reports from Portuguese outlet Record claim Silva's next target is Bayern Munch midfielder Joao Palhinha after Tottenham opted against activating their purchase clause on him last month.
Palhinha was a key part of Silva's Fulham team from 2022 to 2024, and dispute initially rejecting an offer from Bayern, the club accepted his departure ahead of the 2024/25 season and the Portugal international moved on.
However, after failing to force his way into Vincent Kompany's plans in Bavaria, he was loaned to Spurs las season, and his future at the Allianz Arena looks unclear.
Silva is hoping to take advantage of the situation to secure a €25M (£21.2M) deal for a trusted player with Fulham not considering a reunion with the 31-year-old at this point.
