Over the past few days, reports from Portugal had suggested that Trincao was one the verge of heading to Saudi Arabia for a fee of £43 million.
Now, according to Record, the winger has put that move on hold after Premier League duo Man City and Tottenham both showed an interest.
Rather than immediately sign on the dotted line for Al-Ahli, he has now decided to take his time and weigh his options following Portugal’s World Cup exit.
It’s understood that new Man City boss Enzo Maresca is a fan of Trincao, but any move would depend on Savinho’s departure.
Tottenham’s interest seems to be more concrete, however, as they seek to add competition to Mohammed Kudus on their right wing.
