The 28-year-old has been one of the best strikers in the Premier League over the past two seasons, scoring 33 goals in 62 games.
Mateta’s future at the South London club is in doubt, however, with his current deal at Selhurst Park set to expire in the summer of 2027.
Palace have been in talks over a new deal with the France international since last summer, but he’s no closer to signing an extension.
Now, according to Standard Sport, Ruben Amorim’s side are hoping to take advantage of this breakdown, but Mateta has one big stipulation.
It’s understood that the striker is prioritising a move to a club competing in the Champions League, something unlikely to happen with Palace.
