Manchester City have agreed a deal for Leicester City star Jeremy Monga as Arsenal miss out.

Arsenal have been in club-to-club contact with Leicester City as they worked on a deal to sign promising winger Monga who now looks like he will dodge a move to North London.

Monga is the third-youngest player in history to feature in a Premier League match, behind Arsenal’s Max Dowman and Ethan Nwaneri and it one of England’s best young talents.

Due to turn 17 this month, Monga was just 15 when he played his first Premier League minutes in a 3-0 defeat by Newcastle.

As the transfer saga heats up around him, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that City have stepped in to hijack the deal as they steal him away from the Gunners.

“Jeremy Monga to Manchester City, here we go! Deal in place with Leicester City and player side.

“Fee worth £10m package as #MCFC got deal done after long talks with Arsenal but no breakthrough.

“Maresca, involved in process to sign Monga by presenting long term project.”

Leicester were relegated to League One, the third tier of English football, last season and are being forced to sell players before the new campaign begins.

Monga is currently on scholarship terms at Leicester which will turn professional on July 10th on his 17th birthday, which means City have just 7 days to complete the deal before the deal becomes more complicated.
