Liverpool step closer to clinching Ekitike deal with Eintracht Frankfurt

The France U21 international has approved the move to the Premier League champions, which are now finalising terms with SGE over a fee for the striker.

Indeed, the Mirror says an "outline" of a deal has now been struck between the two clubs.

Liverpool did face competition from Newcastle United, though the Toon have now gone cold on the move and are focusing on other targets.

As such, Liverpool now have a clear run at signing Ekitike, with SGE aiming to sell for €90-100m.

For his part, Ekitike has now agreed a six-year contract with the Reds.
