Ekitike takes action as Eintracht Frankfurt receives formal Liverpool approach

The France U21 striker is now Liverpool's prime striker target after they failed with an offer for Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.

The Reds could be forced to pay Ekitike's £86.5m buyout clause, but the player is pushing Eintracht Frankfurt to consider Liverpool's offer.

The young forward has now handed in a transfer request, says BILD, in an effort to force through a move.

Newcastle are also interested, though Ekitike is said to now favour a switch to Anfield.
