Liverpool name shirt numbers for new signings; Wirtz joins icons with his

Wirtz took the No58 for Liverpool's Asian tour after joining from Bayer Leverkusen last month in a deal rising to £125m.

It's now been announced by the Reds that Wirtz will take the coveted No7 shirt.

Wirtz inherits the number from Luis Diaz, after his sale to Bayern Munich this week. Past icons to wear the number include Kevin Keegan and Sir Kenny Dalglish,

Hugo Ekitike has been handed the No22, Milos Kerkez the No6 and Jeremie Frimpong the No30.

Goalkeeper signing Giorgi Mamardashvili, who will act as backup for Alisson, is their new No25, while fellow new keepers Freddie Woodman and Armin Pecsi take the No28 and No41 respectively.
