Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior laughed off rumours linking star man Cole Palmer with a move away from the club and confirmed he is fit to face Napoli.

Several reports have suggested that Palmer, 23, is unhappy at Chelsea and is looking for a return to Manchester with either Man City or Man United.

Palmer has had several injury issues impact his season so far, meaning he has only managed to make 12 Premier League appearances.

Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s Champions League clash with Napoli on Wednesday, Rosenior rubbished rumours linked Palmer with an exit.

There's no reason for an assurance,” he said.

“It's so unrealistic. It's come from nowhere. There is no need to have the conversation. Cole is happy. You can't stop speculation but some speculation is so far from the truth, there is no point having a conversation about it.”

When asked about whether Palmer was ready to play or not, Rosenior simply responded: “He’s here.”
