Marcus Tavernier and Junior Kroupi struck for the Cherries in the first-half to settle the game for the hosts.
Afterwards, Iraola told the Daily Echo: "I think we used well the experience we had from past week.
"You are playing well, winning 2-0. And then you don't start with the same intensity, same concentration and in the Premier League, five, 10 minutes and you find yourself again 2-2.
“And I think we didn't want this to happen. Everyone was very, very vocal in half time. And I think it has been a good use of that that game.”
On the game, Iraola said: “Two different halves, I think we played really, really well in the first half, we were arriving with intention, with numbers and I think it has been fair to arrive to the half time, 2-0 winning.
“Second half probably was not as brilliant. Not a lot of things happened in the game, but in that moment I think it was good for us.”
