Injury news

Iraola first revealed that Adam Smith is expected to be out for a “few more weeks” and that Lewis Cook is close to a return to the side as he returns to training.

“We have Lewis Cook’s situation. He has been training with the team a little bit, but he’s probably not 100%. We need to see after training how he feels.

“With Adam Smith, he has a suspected hamstring injury and he will be out a few more weeks.

“We are waiting for more situations with the internationals, but I want to see how they are, how they recover as we don’t know yet what level they are at.”

Contract renewals are excellent news

When asked about the recent contract renewals of David Brooks, Marcus Tavernier, and James Hill which Iraola says it is very good news.

"We are very happy with the three of them. They have played all the games until today, they are very valuable for us."

Milosavljevic is exactly what Bournemouth need

The Spanish head coach also spoke on the signing of Veljko Milosavljevic: "Veljko is someone that is very, very young, he is just 18. He has some experience in the Serbian league and he is the kind of profile that we needed.

"We lost some height this season and I like his character and I think he is ready to learn and I am happy with his signing."
