The 24-year-old has emerged as a shock name that could leave Man City this summer, three years after signing from RB Leipzig for a reported fee of £77.6 million.
According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Gvardiol has two options on the table, either sign a new deal with Man City or push for a move to Real Madrid.
He adds that Bayern Munich, who had previously registered an interest, are now no longer in the running to sign him due to his high price tag.
It’s understood that Man City are pushing for him to stay at the club and have already offered him a new deal.
Real Madrid’s interest in concrete, however, and are an attractive option to the defender.
