Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has reacted to fans booing the players after their 0-0 result with Larnaca.

Crystal Palace failed to grab the advantage in their Conference League tie against Larnaca as the Premier League side were held to a 0-0 draw.

Neither team were able to break down the opposition’s defence in what was a poor game filled with little chances.

The Standard report that a selection of supporters could be heard booing the Palace players once the game had ended as they voiced their frustrations.

When asked about the boos, Glasner said that fans could be voicing their anger at a number of problems on the night and not the team as a whole.

"I didn't hear anything, and maybe they booed the referee because I think in the Premier League we're used to not so many fouls, and today almost every contact was a foul, (so maybe) the crowd was not really pleased with the referee's performance.

"So I don't know. Was it more him, or was it JP, or was it the result? But at the end I've seen us giving 100 per cent effort, creating enough, being very dominant. Just the most important part we missed, and that was scoring a goal."

The winner of the tie will face either Fiorentina or Poland's Rakow Czestochowa in the last eight of the competition and Glasner said his side must become more clinical if they are to progress.

"It's never easy (in Europe), and we have to respect all the opposition. They are such an experienced team and we could see it. When you are experienced, you read, you anticipate very well and this is what they're doing.

"We just weren't accurate or clinical enough."
