Amorim was sacked as United manager after 14 months in charge and with the club sixth in the Premier League table on Monday morning in what was a shock move from the club.
United released a statement on Monday morning to explain that the Portuguese boss had been relieved of his duties with immediate effect, whilst Darren Fletcher take charge as interim manager.
Garnacho, 21, left Old Trafford last summer in a £40M move to Chelsea after being placed in the club’s “bomb squad” which also included Antony, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia.
Fabrizio Romano shared the news across his social media platforms, including Instagram, as many reacted to Amorim being let go.
Garnacho, who was desperate to leave the side in the summer, liked the post, which sparked conversation amongst fans who believe that the winger is happy to see his old boss suffer.
His frustration surrounding Amorim comes from United's Europa League final defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, after which Garnacho publicly vented his frustration.
“Up until the final I played every round helping the team, and today I play 20 minutes - I don't know,' he said. 'The final will influence my decision.”
His brother, Roberto, posted on social media: “Working as no-one else, helping every round, coming from two goals in the last two finals, just to be on the pitch for 19 mins and get thrown under the bus.”
Garnacho has contributed four goals and three assists in 20 games for Chelsea, and will wait to see who replaced the recently sacked Enzo Maresca in the coming weeks.
