The Gunners beat Brighton 1-0 to go seven points clear at top of Premier League after Manchester City dropped points to Nottingham Forest in midweek.
However, the main story from the game centred around Brighton boss Hurzeler who went on a post match rant.
"There was only one team that tried to play football today.
"I ask one question - do you ever see in a Premier League game the goalkeeper going down three times?
"We should focus on our performance, we cannot control these types of things. I made my point before the game."
Arsenal do not care
Speaking to ESPN Brazil, Gabriel has since responded and stated that the Arsenal squad simple have to keep pushing on in the title race despite constant criticism.
“We don’t really care about what he says.
“That is for the referee to decide on the pitch. If he wants to give a yellow card or not, he decides the time we take.
“We just have to do things the way we are doing and keep going.”
Arsenal must remain consistent if they are to end their 23 year title drought and Gabriel understands more than anyone what it feels to finish second place.
He admitted Arsenal "have to keep winning, that’s the most important thing" as they head into their FA Cup clash with Mansfield Town this weekend.
