Arsenal host newly-promoted Leeds United on Saturday evening, and the Lilywhites hope to continue their fine start with two wins on the bounce after a narrow 1-0 victory over Everton last weekend.
Okafo is a real talent
Farke was first asked about new signing Noah Okafo who joined the club from AC Milan on Thursday afternoon and had a lot of praise for the 25-year-old who said it's a dream come true to join the Premier League.
“This afternoon he will train for first time. We want to bring quality signings ad Noah fits for this, perfect age. Played for two big clubs in Italy and RB Salzburg in ClL.
“Player with high potential. We will provide him with all the backing to find consistency. He has the skills to make an important impact.
“He is a player who has his favourite position on the left wing. It fits perfectly. He can play as the second striker or the false nine. He can offer goals and assists, he has delivered a few for Ac Milan and scored in CL.
“Really good pace and dribbler. Strong player but don't want to praise too much - I want to let him deliver. He has everything to impress.”
Ampadu injured for the Arsenal clash
Some bad news for Leeds as Farke next confirmed that Ethan Ampadu will be out for a number of weeks through injury.
“Bad news He will be out at least unntil the international break. He's a tough boy. He will miss the next three games including cup game.
“Not ideal. He's out captain. Very importnat player. We will have to find some solutions.”
Leeds will not sit back against Arsenal
Arsenal will be a huge challenge for Leeds and Farke moved on to The Gunners’ tactics and how his side will not back away from the fight like a lot of newly promoted teams.
“We know with their signings and quality. It is a tough test and we have to be at our best.
“Don’t want to speak too much in advance. We won't sell out DNA and park the bus. If you just try to defend you have no chance to survive there. We will try to be there with many periods with the ball.
“Will try and create chances to scare them. Will be periods where we suffer and we have to be well structured.”
Leeds must be more clinical
Finally, Farke opened up about being more clinical against the North London side and admitted that he was impressed with his team's shot count against The Toffees but expects less against Arsenal.
"Important not to over interprate stats. We had 21 shots vs Everton - that's pretty impressive. Not sure if we have that at Arsenal - but why not? We try to deliver the same but I expect we will have less chances."
