Leeds are now nine points above 18th placed Tottenham in the battle to avoid relegation, with three games left to play.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Ampadu admitted that his side are “in a good position” as we head into the final few games of the season.

"We're delighted. I said before the game that we've not managed to beat Burnley and we wanted a bit of revenge and get to 43 points. We like to think we've put ourselves in a strong position with three games left,” he said.

On the Leeds fans: "We wanted to give them a bank holiday weekend to enjoy. We had the disappointment last weekend. Hopefully, three more good results."

On Daniel Farke: "He gives everyone the confidence and the license to go and play with confidence and with freedom. We're well prepared for the games and that puts us in a great position."
