Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has shrugged off transfer rumours heading into the summer window.

The Norway international has hit 35 goals in 48 appearances for Manchester City this term and is close to becoming the Premier League’s top scorer this season with just a few games remaining.

He now boasts 109 goals in 129 appearances as well as 24 assists under manager Pep Guardiola who will hope that he can keep his form up in the final stretch on the hunt for the title.

Haaland signed a 10-year contract at the Etihad Stadium in January 2025 but has been linked with a number of top sides including Real Madrid and Barcelona regardless of his current deal.

Speaking on his future this week, he committed to the side and shrugged off any potential reports suggesting he could depart the Premier League.

"I'm super happy and I'm looking forward to what's next because I think it's exciting times for City as a club and also me as a player," Haaland admitted. "I'm looking forward to continuing with City.

"It's been a lot of change now the last couple of years, I would say in the last year. There's been lots of players that have been here for a long time. So with new players, it takes time. It's not easy to come into a new league for someone, new country, all of this. It takes time to adapt. I think exciting times and I'm looking forward to being a part of it."

Haaland has set his sights on breaking Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League scoring record but he will have to remain in the English top flight longer than the likes of Harry Kane who couldn’t quite reach Shearer’s record.

City have already won the EFL Cup this season and have the FA Cup and Premier League to play for as Haaland aims to collect more silverware with the side.
