Ekitike bagged a career-best 15 goals and eight assists in the Bundesliga last year and will be looking to continue his form in the Premier League as the Reds aim to defend their title with a host of new signings, which could take their summer spending to around £400M.
The 23-year-old revealed precisely what he and Slot had discussed before he pledged his future to Anfield with a six-year contract and how his ability isn’t necessarily all that matter as personality and attitude off the pitch also come into play.

Slot obviously knows what he wants this summer as he looks for players who are world-class on and off the pitch, which will only add to the chemistry at the side which looks better than ever.
The Dutch boss could face a dilemma given both Ekitike and Isak prefer to play as strikers however, which may complicate the team’s attack which is already brimming with talent whose minutes will have to be balanced. Slot will have a plan if he does sign Isak however, and if a deal does go through it means Isak’s personality matches that of the side and the club will only grow stronger.
