It's been reported Spurs plan to move for Dyche to replace Igor Tudor as the club sits just one point above the dropzone.
But the former Burnley and Nottingham Forest manager told Sky Sports today: "I was standing in the pub right down the street, and then a guy came and said: ‘You are reportedly going to meet Spurs tonight’, where I replied: ‘I stand next to you with a pint Guinness, so it's probably not that likely!'
He also addressed the role of the media in such a situation.
"When you get connected to a club, clickbait is constantly being made and whatever you do, it's a really difficult situation. When you are a manager, you know that at some point you get these questions.
"When you get them, you try to be respectful. Tottenham is a fantastic club and a huge club, so when you say ‘I'm honored’, everyone says afterwards: ‘He hasn't said no!’...."
