Speaking after the match, the Englishman revealed the emotional pressure players deal with during crucial games late in the season.

"It's a lot. If only the people knew what goes through a footballer's mind in 90 minutes. First half amazing football, free-flowing football, some great chances and could have had two or three,” RTice told the Premier League website.

“Second half fair play to Burnley, they didn't really cause us a problem but we know what's as stake. One more to go now and let's keep pushing.

“Every type of rollercoaster you can imagine. It was tough but to end on a high in our last home game is really special.

"To get three points now is really tough, every team is tough but the most important thing tonight is three points.”
