Already-relegated Wolves welcome Tottenham to the Molineux as the North London side attempt to climb out of the drop zone following their 2-2 draw with Brighton last week.
Tottenham are still yet to win in the Premier League this calendar year, and remain two points from safety behind West Ham who continue to pick up points.
Team news
De Zerbi first opened up on team news and provided updates on several players who are set to miss the Wolves clash.
On Destiny Udogie: “Destiny has a (muscular) problem. I think he can't play tomorrow, but he played on Saturday and played a great first half, second half as well but the first was great. We have Spence, Souza is available to come with us. It's not a big problem, I hope Udogie could be back for next week at Villa Park.”
On James Maddison: “No he's not available (to play) yet. Especially in this week, he felt pain but not so important pain. Tomorrow he will come on the bench because he's important whether he plays or not. Better he plays but as a leader and a guy, I want to see in my dressing room nice people, positive people.”
Finally, on Vicario: “He is not available for tomorrow. I hope he can start with me from Monday. Antonin is playing very well. I hope Vicario can come back in the best physical condition because he's a very important player for us.”
The abuse of Danso was horrific
The Italian coach next spoke on the racist abuse Kevin Danso received following the club's 2-2 draw against Brighton on Saturday. In a statement, the club said they have reported the "significant and abhorrent" abuse to the police and authorities. De Zerbi condemned such abuse which has sadly become common in the modern game.
"I was very annoyed by the racist insults towards Kevin, but he has to be calm and I am proud for him.
"He played a fantastic game. Not a good game but a fantastic game. I don’t consider one mistake. He will be here next season because he is a good guy, a very good player and everyone of us is lucky to work with him."
